Musky Octopus
The prince of our sea
Musky octopus is certainly the prince of our culinary repertoire and is the unrivalled feature of the recipes that have made the history of Caorle’s cuisine.
This type of small brown octopus particularly loves our sandy sea beds, a natural habitat where it reproduces between January and May, and is fished all year round, mainly with trawl-nets and always in compliance with the regulations that protect the marine ecosystem.
Musky octopus stewed with cherry tomatoes, musky octopus salad, spaghetti with musky octopus and musky octopus in green salsa are just a few of the dishes in which the prince of our sea is served at the table, always really fresh, always less than twelve hours after being fished!
